Ispolink is a blockchain startup that aims to provide a cutting-edge match making platform that is designed to address one of the most fundamental challenges nowadays: sourcing top talents. Ispolink’s blockchain based product facilitates the processes for filling roles by providing a full cycle recruitment system. The platform makes the entire recruitment process fully transparent and automated.
Ispolink needed an in detail brand strategy to find out what the core values of the business are and how to reach out to there target audience. Over the course of 6 months I created an in deep brand strategy, an corporate identity with brand guide and the company logo. I also created the overall user experience and the user interface of the platform itself.
"Jens is one of the most passionate and competent designers I have came across. He not only possess exceptional skills to produce unique and memorable designs, he's also very creative and was able to define and created a relevant brand identity for your business. He's extremely punctual, proactive and a result-driven professional."
CEO of Ispolink
The goal was to find out what the basic values of Ispolink are and how they can be communicated to potential customers. In multiple workshops with the Ispolink team, we developed the brand attributes, target group personas and more, using proven design sprint methods and the CORE framework.
Based on the knowledge we gained in the process and in close cooperation with the team, I created an detailed brand strategy. We articulated a clear brand statement and a business vision, defined the core values of the brand and created customer profiles.
Based on the brand strategy, I started to setup the visual language for Ispolink, created multiple logo ideas, color palettes and selected fonts. I also created mockups to show the identity design in action.
How could a billboard look like? How does the logo look on a t-shirt? What would be a good layout for a business card? How does the app icon look? Giving some impressions of use cases like that is crucial to find a identity design that fits.
As Ispolink provides a complex match making platform to source tech talents, a satisfying user experience is key for the success of the product. Connecting all aspects and features of the application and structuring the users workflow was crucial. Making complex and rich applications understandable and easy to use is always the goal to provide a great user experience to the customers.
First, we created a visual representation of the userflow to make clear how the user will navigate from point A to B. After that we visualized the basic structures and elements of the interface as wireframes: Simple representations of the interface which show the basic features. Do we need a button there? Or a checkbox here? Does the user interact with this element? Or is the information read only? Questions like this were answered in this step.
In this step the Identity Design and the User Experience did come together to form the aesthetic of the user interface. After defining what Ispolink is in it's core all about and what will be needed for a satisfying user experience, the visual appearance of the platform itself came into focus.
What colors will be used for which kind of element of the UI? How will a button look like? What kind of icons will be suitable? Sharp edges or rounded corners? And what does that communicate to the user? Does it match with the overall brand strategy and the identity design?
"During our mutual work on Ispolink, Jens managed to bring out the core values of our project and express them seamlessly in the whole UI/UX. His systematic approach and attention to detail are beyond impressive. Jens is a team player with great interpersonal skills. Choosing him was the best decision for our business!"
